Joshua 6:20 - When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed;

Praise the Lord!

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

This account describes an unusual act of obedience. The Israelites were to march around the city of Jerecho seven times, then blow their trumpets and shout. Think of how you would feel marching around a city for six of those days. It would seem foolish, wouldn’t it? But the sight of walls collapsing on the seventh day would make it all worthwhile. Following Jesus may seem foolish at the outset, but when you humble yourself and simply obey, you set the stage for breakthroughs that you would never imagine.
