Isaiah 41:10 -So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

Praise the Lord!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

This divine promise to Israel should give every Christian hope, for we have been reconciled to the God of the Jews through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If this is God’s heart to a nation that has gone astray, how much more is God ready to strengthen those who call upon the name of Jesus. So don’t become so overwhelmed by your current situations that you forget to call upon the One who loves you, has redeemed you, and is with you today.

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Praise the Lord!

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Notice that God’s word is not just a lamp that shows us our next steps; it also becomes a light for the longer journey of our lives. So look to the Scripture each day, for you will find that as you honor God with each step, the larger picture of your life becomes more clear and focused.

Genesis 3:1 - Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.

Praise the Lord!

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? “

What makes the serpent crafty was his tactics: instead of trying to get the woman to believe a new train of thought, he got the woman to question what God had said. This is a pattern that repeats itself often when we see Satan in the Scripture. Just like Eve, we can see all of the opportunities in the place where God puts us, but God has given us clear guidelines in his Word. To imagine a world that functions outside of God’s commands is to fall into the same trap that Eve fell into in the garden

1 Peter 2:16 - Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil;

Praise the Lord!

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.

Christ has come to break the bonds of the law upon our lives, but this doesn’t mean that we should use our new freedom for our own benefit. On the contrary, we are now free to choose the best way to glorify the One who gave us our freedom. He gave up His life for us so that we could be free to live our lives for Him.
